As last summer wore on and Pippa's sartorial choices interested me less and less the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge dropped in her blog appearances here until I stopped reporting on her entirely. I think I even removed her from the blog description. There is, after all, only so much time in the day... Nevertheless, I like to keep up with Pippa when she is doing something sporty and athletic, because that is where she is obviously cool. Let's face it, Kate has the clothes department nailed down, but we never get to see Kate working up a sweat anymore. Cue the little sister. Pippa never fails to impress in this area and does not disappoint most recently with the 56 mile cross country ski course she completed for charity with her brother James. The two Middletons were both racing for the
Magic Breakfast, a children's hunger organization.

Pippa finished in a little over seven hours, which was described as an impressive time for a beginner on the arduous course.

Meanwhile, big sister Kate will be joining the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on Thursday for a jubilee event. It has also been announced she will be making her first solo military engagement on St. Patrick's Day when she hands out the traditional shamrocks to members of the Irish Guards. On March 19, the Duchess will appear again for one of her charities and mark an even more notable premiere as she makes her first official public address.
