| William and Kate in Slave Lake |
Well, William and Kate were originally scheduled to have this day off, and you can well imagine they need it! They very thoughtfully, however, made a last minute addition to their tour, and added a stop to tour fire-ravaged Slave Lake today, before they get to Calgary for tomorrow's festivities.
Kate stayed with the general casual look from yesterday, but dressed it up by switching to a ruffled blouse, adding a jacket, and exchanging flats for her wedges. I like this much more than yesterday's combo!
The one drawback was the back of the jacket, which I don't like at all. I am almost positive that this is the jacket she wore at Heathrow, and with a dress the cutout back looks alright, but not with this look. I wish she had worn something that was a little less edgy. Overlooking that one part, I really thought this was the perfect ensemble for the occasion.
Even though today was supposed to be an off day, they had some quiet time last night. William reportedly rowed Kate out to a little island in the Blachford Lake area last night, where they had a campfire meal together and several hours enjoying the remote area.
